A Great Idea, Needs Great Courage to make it Happen/ REF

There are needs that needs to be taken care of.
REF Basketball Inc needs a way to roll out its items...
What is done today probably not enuff
We have stretched out to Jakarta. Trisakti and UI to be Exact.
We still have moves here in BAndung whenever there's a 3 on 3 contest
We'd be opening stands with our Special Basketball Card Surprise Promo

But still, we need more ways to Push more sales
Push more Production
Push more Distribution

We need more people wearing our Products
and more Image Spreading
More Penetrations

and there is one radicall idea that might cover it all

Make REF BASKETBALL CLUB
REF BASKETBALL CLUB is a community of people who would love to play basketball
Who would love to Learn Basketball in a Great way
Who would love to Compete and Push teir skills to the limit

REF BASKETBALL CLUB is juts another Ball Club but the Difference is
My idea is that the Teacher, are the FUTURE BASKETBALL BALLERS
Yes, them.

We pay them through the Monthly Fee we gathered from the REF BASKETBALL CLUB MEMBERs

MEMBERS? FEE?

Yes Members and Fee, i said before this is just another Basketball Team/Club
We have training schedules, we have 2 classes, we rent Indoor Basketball Court.
We have coaches, trainer, physicall trainer, a Manager
We have costumes and THAT is where REF Basketball Inc.

To get all that, we ask for Monthly Member Fee.
Question: Who would pay such money?...

Easy, Rich Kids.
Like those HIgh School KIds, Those Sophomore University kids
We have connections we'll use em

What are we promising them?
More basketball Skills
More FREESTYLE skills
More time and previlage to Ball
More chance to compete on a competition and gain extra money

The Management will find 3 on 3's frequently and pay to get its member playing in the Competition. The players have to wear REF Basketball Inc Apparell.

The idea is NOT to endorse great Ball players. The idea is this

1. MORE people wearin the shirt
2. MORE penetrating customers
3. MORE Community which is VERRy important nowadays as said by every Marketing books even by David Stern and Basketball experts
4. MORE ways to promote ourselves. Through the kids, we'll use them to "Talk" to others about REF, Through the Kids we'll use them for our BTL promos. Through the kids, we'll use urge them to play in various types of competition wearin REF shirts and REF Flag

But as always, we need the grease. We need the Money.

Yet through this methode there would be a chance for us to giveaways flyers for there's no more budget

What we have to do is count how many money we need to cover up a year Operations.

Inside the Mind of a Manager

Again today i've experienced the very reason why managers get to paid much.
At least a lot more than the rest.
There are a huge ammount of skills needed by a Manager.
And a huge ammount of Responsibilities is the background for it.

A Manager has to have:

Phsycological Skills
While he manage people to work his way he has to know how to say thing and when. For if he doesnt his employee would back down on it. Thus Phsycological skills are needed when making a decision. How it effects on our human resources later on should be advised before the decision is taken.
Its not a matter of "What", it's about "How"

Financial Skills
A manager can not decide or plan anything without having thoughts on how deep would it touch the cash. Every decision and Plan should be thinked of thoroughly.
Remember like it or not,
Money IS the Fuel for the Vehicle. Without it, you wont go anywhere.

Managerial Skills
It is in the word "Manager" to MANAGE people. One has to have the skill to get people moving and doing things exactly like he wants it. A manager has planned things to run effectively as the company wants it. Also remember that a good manager is a man who could Push one to the limit and drain all potential in the employee.
So if the steer couldnt move the wheel then there's a big problem.

Forecasting Skills
He/ She makes plan, Do things, makes deals, decides things, let go some, get new some, sometimes, admit it. By intuition.
Why? There are things that you cant see, and that is the future. One can only Forecast.
How do you Forecast? By gathering details and facts that exist present day and before. Read the patterns, read the signs, look ahead and Forecast, Will it happen again? What will happen next. A continuous Forecasting activity would create a Template Memory held deep within your conscience. When needed, it will soon Pop Up.
It is called Intuition.

To Blend all elements so it would work in 1 rythme is a Motor called: Leadership.
The Gear, is Creativity, Coolness, Broadthinking, and Parenting.
The Fuel as said before, Money.

Refreshment

So far i've worked at 3 different places. At Least.
My first job was as an Account Executive at TVAd. An Advertising Agency that does ATL dan BTL but focusing on TVCs

My Second as an Account Executive (though my name card says Account Director. Managements said it gives more pride and class, and that it'll make clients be more respectful) at UPS formerly known as United Parcell Service.

Third and Last as an Assistant Program Director 1, assisting nobody but myself since there's no PD at Hard Rock FM Bandung.

Of course im expecting a Jump Off towards higher ground.
For that i have to really use the knowledge i had through my 2 years working experience.
2 years 3 places. Is that good or average? Or bad?

Anyways here's a recap of what i learned at each place.
This is important to regain usefull knowledge and skill i had and to use it at present day

TVAd
1. I learned the basic skills of Marketing. Get to know them. Not to close unless you're ready to give em more.

2. A lot of usefull stuffs like knowledge and chances are there for us to pick from clients. So talk more, and get to know them

3. Know ur Clients Environment. Get along there. It is important for us to make em except us. For they will help us guide the decision maker towards the deal.

4. In getting notes Never Assume. It would mislead everything under it.

5. In TVC slots are provided directly from TV Stations. With their own specified rates.

6. In a Adv Agency the ones handling communication for client to stations would be Media Departement

7. Never rush ur client visit. Wait until things gets cold. Coz in each and every heat or warm conversation could pop a Popcorn.


UPS
1. In deals always get the Top Dog's number. Always get the Decision Maker

2. SPIN methode is flawless if used properly.

3. Always probe deep. Get to know every corner of their business. Find a way for us to slip through later on. Remember, LATER! Not necessary at that very Visit. Ask them what is is from their business that they feel bothered. ANYTHING will do. Then do a recap on those problems they have. Remember if you only achieved sumthin' that lies on the surface, SPIN may not be effective. After doing the recap, time for you to Demonstrate how ur feature might help solve their problems. Bottom line, always know what they want.

4. Always review ur questions before entering clients office

5. Always write down whatever there is to know. State what is ur mission for today's visit

6. On complains, always check first before promising anything or apologizing on any behalf. Get both sides of story

7. Go easy on 1 client. Not every client could use the same treatment. Be patient. Remember PT NAMNAM?

8. Always consult with ur Supervisor. He might help you with more thorough solutions. Remember Supervisors sees on a much more higher ground.

9. It is important to make us on Top of Their Mind. So do anything necessary to gain so. Use merchandises, call em, visit em, e mail em, etc. Let em remember ur still here.

10. This is minor but its a culture for business. Always ready with namecards. Always give them using Both Hands.

11. Be reactive towards clients. You can do that in a lot of ways. When they complain, when they perform good, when they perform bad, when they start to fade, when they ask for help, etc.

12. Dont bow down to ur client. Always put urself in the same level. Always have bargaining position incl in dignity. Otherwise they would run you down on every deal.


HRFM

1. If you have a lot of contacts in ur company get to know them 1st. They'll help you with things

2. Leadership is not raised by fear but by respect. Respect on the otherhand is Born. It cant be Created. So be patient about it. But also be Consistent. Make up ur mind and heart and walk on that same path.

3. These are tools to success: Persistency, Consistency, and Determination

4. Never let ur self be stuck. Always evolve. Always change. But dont lose ur Culture and Character.

5. If you dont have the ways to get to 1 point. Be Creative.

6. Creative is about Knowledge. Knowledge buried deep within ur conscious and Pops up everytime ur Conscious knows u needs it. So know more about a lot of things. You'll never know when or how its going to be usefull for you. Read, Watch, Walkaround, Talk to people.

7. If someone makes a mistake, let em know, Dont keep it down low coz u think it might offend them. You're doing the right thing by telling it. THEY on the other hand are taking it like a cry baby if they cant handle it.

8. Alywas give grade in notification. 1st is always a light notification. 2nd is a reminder. 3rd is Mandatory, 4th is Punishment. etc. Give them a chance to improve

9. What every employee needs the most is a good Manager. So perform at ur best to raise ur men to a higher level.

10. Always check twice. Check again, and do it all over again. Be very careful on whatever it is that you sign.

11. Be true. Dont Lie. It lowers ur credibility

12. Just dont, never, tell everyone 100% of what you know.





A Leap Forward (HRFM BDG)

Soon, Hard Rock FM Bandung will Leap Far Forward.
What has been planned and progressed to reach reality could forever alter the face of
Hard Rock FM Bandung.
While partners are pushing efforts and raising prayers, the effect on such changes has to be analyzed.

What Would Happen?
Is it possible for Hardrockers to eject?
Is it possible for Hardrockers Turn to Hate?

The answer of course is dependent on the Treatment
For real HardRock FM Bandung wouldnt wanna lose listeners
So in order to retain them, the treatment of the project has to win their heart
Here are stuffs that would retain them

1. Good Music (The heart of a radio station)
2. Good Prizes (The True Ear candy)
3. Real Feel Benefit (Program's Tools to earn segmentation).

Now, a Program designed TailorMade for the Project has to have all 3 elements.
Once it is settled, time to designed the timeframe.
Details incl. WHEN and WHERE has to be decided.

Considering Hardrockers lifestyle combined by the needful things of clients, Program has to Run EVERYWEEK and be Blowed every MONTH. At least this settles the WHEN part.

WHERE could be answered by probing on where do Hardrockers Mobile's the most.
1. Place they go to work
2. Place they Dine in
3. Place where they listens everyday to Hard Rock FM Bandung.

Once the formula is acheived, we'll get both our and clients stepping stone.

Our Site... (REF)

Right now we're on the move to make our very own Website
Its' very exciting.
Here's what's ready

1. We found someone that could help with high quality and low fee. Trusted, multitasking.id could help

2. We could use our very own www.ref.com with low payments.

3. We need to supply Images and Logos Pronto. Pictures should be taken NOW and be deliverd fast. Logo is already sent as we speak (or read in this case)

4. It was said that from Scratches to Finish they'd need 3-4 MOnths

The needs of Websiote is urgent considering alot of things
The abscence of Retail needs 1 particular place where they can find us. Buyers need access. Such access provided by www.ref.com

Time to Market... (REF)

Right now, i have approximately:

50 T shirts devided in 4 designs
4-5 Reversable Jerseys
9 Links to customer, they are UNPAR, SMA 5, SMA 1, SMA 14, SMA ANGELA, SABUGA, TRISAKTI JKT, UI JKT, Singapore (On Progress)

If everything goes as smooth as silk We'd collect around Rp 2250.000,-
Enuff to roll another round of products

But of course things couldnt go that way
and i need new line products to go along
Our Business needs more item.
Not for them to buy, but strategically, to Narrow their choices

If i only have (lets say) 3 items to sell that's not much of a choice isnt it?
More items would help them find 1 significant product to buy.
That, is phsycology in terms of direct selling

So what to do?
Nothing but MORE AGGRESSIVE on Front Lining and Direct Selling!
Only that might generate cash to flow and produce more lineup products

So by facts showed above, here's what i hafta do:

1. Call UI and Marino, get the products to them. Distribute and wait
2. Pack up some and go direct selling on Weekend morning to the Court
3. I just remember 1 thing. I hafta send our Cloth sample to Jakarta. Moerads guys wants to order Jerseys.
